After a group brainstorming, we have created a positining map in function of two variables : the level of entertainment and the level of culture/news of the channels:
We have identified eight generalist channels: TF1, M6, France 2, France 3, France 8, Canal + and D8 (former Direct 8 that as been acquired by the Canal + group).
The other channels are specialists:
- France 5 and Arte are focussing on culture
- BFM, I Télé and LCP are focussing on news
- Gulli is broadcasting cartoons
- W9, TMC, NT1, NRJ12 and D17 are mostly focussing on entertainment
