According to the "Industry analysis" model developed by Lehmann & Winer, we have identified the different levels of competition for TF1 and M6 :
TF1 and M6 main competitors are the other generalist channels (France 2, France 3, France 4, Canal + and D8). However, these generalist channels are also competiting with specialist free channels that are gaining more and more market shares and pay channels available through Canal Sattelite or mobile operators.
They are also competing with other media (newspapers, magazines, radios and websites). By extension, they are also competing with every type of hobbies.
